Rachel is a recurring and major character in the Kyle Hyde saga. She works at Red Crown as Ed Vincent's secretary and guides Kyle Hyde via telephone throughout the two games, offering important information about people involved in his investigations, as well as researching other things that may help Kyle. She is able to signal Kyle through his pager to phone her.
Personality[]
Rachel has a witty, kind and resourceful personality. It is implied through the way she speaks to Kyle is that she might have feelings for him, as she is very affectionate to him, calling him sweetie, handsome, "good-lookin" and "darn charming". She also seems satisfied with her job, saying she doesn't need a better one.
Hotel Dusk: Room 215[]
Kyle checks in early with Rachel about the package. After some more business calls, Rachel asks Kyle who Brian Bradley is. Although he does not initially get into it, he later gives her some information about him. Kyle asks Rachel to look for information relating to a painter named Marcel Osterzone, and also tells her about his toilet money fiasco.
She is also available up to around midnight, which she claims she is doing for kicks, although she later mentions she is worried about Kyle. Kyle says, "Rachel? Go home. Seriously."
In the morning, Kyle tells Rachel that he needs a vacation which surprises her. She tells Kyle she will be waiting for him when he returns.

- She says she has a friend who works in an art museum.
- Although it is uncertain, there is a chance Rachel might have been inspired by Ingrid Hunnigan from Resident Evil 4 which came out a couple years prior to Hotel Dusk and had a large influence on video games, as well as popularizing the idea of a secretary helping the protagonist through a phone. The two share a similar personality, glasses and a nearly identical outfit.
